Jackie Calloway: Love That Would Not Let Me Go

To say that Jackie Calloway is an inspiration would be an understatement. After 27 years of marriage, his betrayal and separation left her with only one prospect – divorce. How would she cope with the loneliness? Apart from him, who was she really after all? Her questions would take her on a long inward journey that would leave her utterly bereft and yet just where she needed to be. Racial polarization is a reality in our culture. We are not so integrated as some would suppose. Moreover, we are also a long way from achieving equality. With that said, the last thing we need is a television show promoting and legitimizing social Darwinism vis-à-vis racial competition. Heads of state from Mahatma Ghandi to Joseph Stalin sought his talent. The top business leaders and entrepreneurs of his day eagerly desired to work with him. Henry Ford offered him unlimited resources, laboratory facilities and assistants if he would do research for his company...and finally Edison.
